I’ve been lucky enough to go to New York Bridal Fashion Week twice and I can honestly tell you, it’s incredible. From the models strutting down the runway in the most gorgeous gowns to the designers up close and personal, it is a treat. You think you like these gowns in the pictures, but they look completely different up close. Take for instance Pnina Tornai’s gowns – they sparkle like none other. You wouldn’t believe how incredible her dresses are up close and personal.
Claire Pettibone has the most gorgeous lace you’ll ever see and she’s so sweet too! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her several times and she remembers me – imagine that. She is one of my absolute favorite designers and I love following her work.
Matthew Christopher’s little blue dress is pictured here because I’m obsessed with it. It walked the runway a few years ago and honestly, I’m still not over it. I don’t know if it’s the color, the length or what, but it’s perfect. When shopping for my own wedding I could not afford couture, but I wanted a color – either pink or blue. I did end up in champagne, which sometimes, photographed pink!

Get ready for an exciting bridal fashion week, less than a week away!!
If you know anything about me, you know I’m constantly looking for fresh and new designers that are going to knock my socks off. I’ve latched onto a few that I discovered early into their careers (Claire Pettibone, Inbal Dror, Yaki Ravid, etc.) and I’ve enjoyed watching them grow and be successful.
I stumbled upon Eliza Jane Howell bridal and I was blown away. The 20s silhouettes and shimmering designs were almost too much to handle! They are luxurious and intricately designed and if you do a little digging you will find out that they are HAND BEADED and sometimes HAND EMBROIDERED!! Brb…currently dying!!
The designer has been nominated (and won) Best Bridal Designer at U.K. Bridal Awards…so why haven’t I heard of her yet??!! *facepalm*

Okay, I’m super picky- I’ll admit it. I only liked one gown from MZ but I can tell you it’s super classy, flowy and universally flattering on all brides! What are your thoughts?
There should be a bumper sticker that says “I brake for Claire Pettibone!” Seriously, I should get paid for how much I shout her out. Let me just say, I think that Claire has a secret compartment hiding in my brain that she secretly taps into when she’s designing her collections. Every gown in her collection speaks to me and she never lets me down! Photo cred: @clairepettibone instagram & Snapchat
