I’ve been lucky enough to go to New York Bridal Fashion Week twice and I can honestly tell you, it’s incredible. From the models strutting down the runway in the most gorgeous gowns to the designers up close and personal, it is a treat. You think you like these gowns in the pictures, but they look completely different up close. Take for instance Pnina Tornai’s gowns – they sparkle like none other. You wouldn’t believe how incredible her dresses are up close and personal.
Claire Pettibone has the most gorgeous lace you’ll ever see and she’s so sweet too! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her several times and she remembers me – imagine that. She is one of my absolute favorite designers and I love following her work.
Matthew Christopher’s little blue dress is pictured here because I’m obsessed with it. It walked the runway a few years ago and honestly, I’m still not over it. I don’t know if it’s the color, the length or what, but it’s perfect. When shopping for my own wedding I could not afford couture, but I wanted a color – either pink or blue. I did end up in champagne, which sometimes, photographed pink!
The saying is, “A Picture is Worth 1000 Words” and I firmly believe it. Look at this amazing portrait of a bride. I am in love with it! How would YOU Describe this image? I’m thinking stunning, timeless, elegant, love, … Continue reading →
Kimberly Pixton is a very close friend of mine who just happens to be an awesome bridal fashion designer! She has a background in fashion, cheerleading and is launching her line in the bridal market. Kim has such an amazing vision, and I can’t help but fall in love with her gowns. Her editorial piece, Elinor, got some attention at bridal market, sparking an enthusiasm for texture in gowns. You might see the gowns in a magazine stand near you! Check out some recent editorial work in Charlotte Wedding’s, “Come Fly With Me” Shoot. Each gown has a unique element, and you can expect nothing but amazing quality with her one of a kind pieces. The line features a textured brocade gown, lovely shades of blush and a tutu skirt that would make any bride happy! Check out her amazing collection inspired by Jane Austen!

One of my favorites, this adorable chick flick stars Julia Roberts & Richard Gere. What a pair they are! 🙂 The film was made in Maryland, Berlin to be exact… a little town on the Eastern Shore near Ocean City… Its a quaint little town, with nothing but adorable boutique shops and friendly faces.
Check out the trailer…
My favorite dress in the entire movie is in the end…

Today’s Throwback Thursday is all about Princess Grace Kelly! Her timeless style can still be worn today, but check out how simply gorgeous she looked! The stunning high neck gown, with a lace bodice and what looks to me like silk or taffeta (or a mixture of both) compliments this gorgeous lady to a tee!
…and my favorite of all…
Do yourself a favor and pick up the Vogue Weddings book, it will amaze you…it sure did for me… but again I am easy to please when it comes to weddings! 🙂
Although today is supposed to be about real weddings, I have decided to write about proposals on video! I was listening to my favorite radio station this morning (Channel 96.1, Ace & TJ to be exact!) and they were talking about a proposal that happened at this week’s Train Concert.
The lucky lady told her boyfriend when they first started dating that “Marry Me” was her favorite song by Train and he kept that in mind when cooking up the best proposal for his girlfriend. With the lead singer of Train coming over to the couple, the lucky bride-to-be jumped up and down…
